 #1: February 6th    VSM – Value Stream Mapping:   Value Stream Mapping is a critical early step in the Lean transformation. This course describes the process that is used to construct current and future state maps and demonstrates where the opportunity exists to eliminate all non-value added activity in a value stream.

#2: March 6th    KAIZEN: The course shows how both manufacturing and administrative Kaizens are conducted and how they differ. You will see examples of tools, techniques and forms that are used in the Kaizen process and will learn how to facilitate Kaizen events that bring about rapid and sustaining change. 

#3: April 3rd    TPM – Total Productive Maintenance:   In any business, it is critical that equipment is always properly maintained and available when needed. This course covers the different types of maintenance, the six big losses and the importance of safety. Learn how to keep equipment in peak operating condition and how to avoid unscheduled downtime. See how TPM blends with Lean elements, rules and other tools.

#4: May 1st    SMED – Single Minute Exchange of Dies:   This course covers the techniques that are used to accomplish rapid changeovers and explains how, when combined with other Lean tools, SMED leads to lower inventories, increased safety, improved service levels and reduced costs.

#5: June 5th    DFMA - Design for Manufacturing and Assembly:  The course shows how the design activity influences costs and what can be done to simplify the product manufacturing process so that costs are minimized and quality is improved. 

#6: July 10th    Roadblocks and Pitfalls to Lean:  This course is designed to help guide you through the Lean transformation and avoid the pitfalls. Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid the trial and error implementation process that often kills the initiative.

Cost:  $2400 for all six sessions!  Any 3

         employees can attend each session!

         Additional employees can attend any

         one session for an extra $50!
