Office Process Improvement

Two Day Workshop

 

In this two day workshop teams apply quality and Lean practices to improve office processes at your site.  Using value Stream Mapping teams construct and analyze Current State Maps and develop Future State Maps, leading to development of process improvement implementation plans. Participating teams are taken through six steps with emphasis on learning by doing at each step.

  1. Business Case for for Office Process Improvement - Teams use a pre-selected process and write a compelling Business Case and SMART goals for improvement.  Teams report-out.

  2. Select Office value Stream and Mapping Team  - Teams create a team charter and review team roles. Teams conduct a "Waste Walk" in the office.

  3. Construct Current State Map - Teams value stream map the current state and report-out.

  4. Analyze the Current State Map - Teams analyze current state map to determine value from waste. Teams identify improvement opportunities and report-out 

  5. Develop Future State Map - Teams create a future state map that uses Lean tools (where applicable) to address issues identified in the Business Case Statement.  Teams report-out.

  6. Create Implementation Plan - Teams develop an action plan for improvement and present final report-out to staff management (for agreement).
