The focus of our two-day workshop is on the "people skills" needed to excel in a thriving high-performance organization. First-line supervisors and middle managers leave this program with new and advanced skills and techniques to help them effectively coach, counsel, and motivate their employees.

During our interactive workshop, participants will gain a thorough understanding of how to communicate clearly, resolve conflict, delegate effectively, and improve their employees' motivation and enjoyment in their work. Through actual practice, role play, and case discussion, participants acquire confidence in their abilities to contribute positively to their organization's continuous improvement efforts. Also, participants discuss and analyze the real-life challenges that face them in their day-to-day work and brainstorm effective ways to overcome them.

Partcipants receive:

  • an understanding of their personal leadership style and effective listening skills.
  • an improved ability to communicate comfortably with their employees.
  • proven methods for motivating employees, counseling them to improve performance, and handling their complaints.
  • a step-by-step approach for creative group problem solving.
  • Ed (Russ) Russell will be the facilitator of this workshop. Russ has received excellent feedback from previous Supervisor Training workshops that he has conducted. See "Our Staff" for more about Russ.
