The purpose of strategic thinking, as a prerequisite to strategic planning, is to understand your current state.

Through strategic planning we develop strategic objectives and strategies to achieve those objectives.

Action planning involves goal setting and scheduling/ordering of activities, tasks and resources to meet those goals.

Through guided and/or facilitated implementation plans are executed through broad-based action.
